The national Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, yesterday said he will still consult widely before making his decision concerning running for presidency in the 2023 general elections. 

Speaking yesterday, after a closed-door meeting with leaders of the Northern Alliance Committee (NAC) in Abuja, the former Lagos State governor said he will still consult and brainstorm with his friends before declaring his intentions.

Responding to the myriad of calls from different groups, urging him to run for president in 2023, Tinubu said “I am not going to turn them down.

“I will still effectively and widely consult. Particlularly, brainstorm with my friends, and find a date to come out openly and tell Nigerians. But the president is still in office. I don’t want to distract him from all the challenges that he might face today.”

Finally, to all who are imploring him to declare his intentions, he concluded “Don’t muddle the political water”
