APC special OPS and new Media Directorate of Tinubu-Shettima PCC meetings

The Special Ops & New Media Directorate of the APC Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council scheduled a meeting held from 2 pm on the 13th of November 2022 at Blue Spring Hotel, 6th Floor, Abuja, Nigeria.

The meeting was also streamed on the zoom platform to enable those who couldn’t participate physically to attend virtually and we recorded about 100+ in attendance online.

The meeting started with prayers to God Almighty and was followed by introductions of the vast array of political strategists who were present for the meeting on-site and online.

Opening remarks were given by Chief Femi Fani Kayode, Director of Special Ops & New Media who expressed gratitude to everyone for making time to attend the meeting.

Chief Fani Kayode re-emphasized that the task at hand required tenacity, commitment, and unfettered loyalty. FFK affirmed that the Asiwaju-Shettima ticket was a patriotic opportunity for the APC to consolidate the gains of the Buhari administration

Some points of note were discussed, resolved, and adopted inter alia:

SYNERGY AND DISTINCTION OF FUNCTIONS:

Chief Fani Kayode reiterated that the four Media Directorates of the APC-PCC were distinct, mutually exclusive entities, that collaborate and sometimes overlap but are independent and distinct, and specialized in their operations.

TERMS OF REFERENCE:

The Secretariat had issued Terms of Reference for each Directorate but members were informed that the Special Ops and New Media Directorate had distilled, defined, and elaborated on each aspect of the official term of reference, and we were waiting to submit our Workplan on the budget to the secretariat.

MODUS OPERANDI OF OPERATIONS:

The Assistant Secretary, Malam Yakubu Lamai

The Assistant Secretary, Malam Yakubu Lamai assured members that the mode of operations in the Special Ops Directorate will be based upon inclusivity, expertise, transparency, and accountability.

INTERACTION:

Members were asked to suggest how best they wanted the Directorate to be structured for robust and effective engagement and involvement of every member of the Directorate.

The movement to Jos for National Flag-Off” and other confidential matters was discussed and the meeting was finally closed with prayers. Details are available with the Assistant Secretary.

RESOLUTIONS ADOPTED:

Subcommittees were created and details plus membership will be shortlisted. The meeting lasted approximately THREE HOURS.
