The Coalition of Kwara All Progressives Young Stakeholders (CKAYS), on Thursday, applauded the recent efforts by the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, to reconcile conflicting factions of the party in Kwara State.

In a press conference held on Thursday by the coalition, which is a collection of all youths groups and associations in the Kwara State APC party, the group referred to Tinubu as a ‘father figure’ and repsected national leader of the party.

The Coalition was reacting to the recent attack by the Kwara for Kwara Movement group (K4K), on the personalities of the Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

During a press conference in Ilorin, the Kwara for Kwara Movement group had suggested that the move by Bola Tinubu to intervene in the state crisis was borne out of a personal political agenda for 2023.

In reaction to this, the CKAYS group held a press conference in Ilorin.

Addressing reporters during the conference, the Kwara North leader of the CKAYS group, Ahmed Mohammed commended Tinubu’s efforts. He said “We are not giving up on reconciliation, so we are calling on Asiwaju Tinubu to do more.  He is always welcome in Kwara State. He is a known leader of APC in Nigeria and he is no less recognised in the state.”

 
Ahmed also called on the governor to pay no attention to the activities of the unknown and faceless group, referring to the KYK group.
