DEVOIDANCE OF SENTIMENT CAN PROMOTE BETTER GOVERNANCE IN NIGERIA, SAYS AKINDURO

…Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has the interest of common man at heart

Mr. Ibesanmi Akinduro, the Coordinator of Tinubu Support Organization (TSO), Lagos State Chapter, has attributed the major problem of good governance and leadership in Nigeria to sentiments of the electorates during election.

He said that only if Nigerians are devoid of sentiments in electing their leaders at the realm of the affairs of the country, the country would get better governance and leadership.

Mr. Akinduro who is also a public affairs analyst made the submission on a live programme titled: “Talking point” on Lagos State Television (LTV) yesterday, 22nd of January, 2022 while responding to questions bothering on the reason Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is vying for the presidential seat in the forthcoming 2023 general election in the Nigeria, after he had ruled Lagos State successfully as Governor and being a leader who discovers talents and human resources in all spheres of the country.

According to him, Nigerians would continued to have problem in the country not until the people are able to take sentiment out of the way they reasoned.

“If somebody has done something somewhere before, what stops the person to go higher. Is anything wrong in that? Must you become a President in Nigeria before you become another President?” he asked.

“Asiwaju Bola Ahmed governed Lagos well. Everybody in Nigeria felt it, know that and still feeling his good achievements. Asiwaju wants to go and replicate that at the federal level. It is certain that by the time President Muhammadu Buhari leaves and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu takes over, things would not be the same in Nigeria but better”

Describing the incoming President of Nigeria come 2023 in the person of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Mr. Akinduro said Asiwaju is a transformational leader who drafted and designed societal developmental template for creation of job opportunities via establishment of parastatals and agencies, refurbishing and upgrading of health sector as well as the sustainance of tranquility and peace in the state; from which the subsequent governors and federal level used to administrate manage their jurisdictions.

The Coordinator of TSO, Lagos State Chapter, Mr. Akinduro also urged the youth to stoo complaining, get registered and vote during the forthcoming 2023 General Election.

On his part earlier on the topic: Promoting Better Governance in Nigeria, the Secretary, National Coaliation of Tinubu Support Group, Dr. Doyin Johnson argued that good governance has to do with experience and education. “Life education doesn’t mean academy alone. It deals with what has the person done at community and state level which have to be assessed before Nigerians can be able to get it right. We must put the right peg in the right hole by voting Asiwaju into power”

During the programme, Dr. Johnson however said that the drop in Nigeria’s GDP is due to importation of goods into the country affected it economy
