Some describe Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a couregeous Leader, a rare Leader, a political and financial strategist. While others describe him as a true Democrats, a detribalised Leader etc. All the aforementioned description in the person of Bola Tinubu are not in any way far from the reality.

Bola Tinubu hails from Iragbiji Town in Boripe local government area of Osun state, but was born and brought up in Lagos State.
He was born on the 29th of March,1952 and went into politics from where he became a senator of the federal republic of Nigeria under the social democratic party (SDP) in 1993.

JAGABAN as he is popularly called, is the 12th Governor of Lagos who served two term in office between 1999 to 2007.

Tinubu’s reform programmes and revenue generation as Governor of Lagos State took the state from a yearly internally generated revenue of #14:64 billion in 1999 to over #60:31 billion in 2006.

Asiwaju further demostrated his capacity to governance when he successfully, efficiently and effectively runned Lagos State using only internally generated revenue of Lagos since the federal Allocation of Lagos State was withheld by the then federal government under the peoples democratic party (PDP) administration for one year.

The former senator and Governor, Bola Tinubu attended St’John primary and secondary School, Aroloya Lagos and children home school, Ibadan in Oyo state.

He graduated with first class honour in Business Administration, Accounting and management with cumulative weighted average points of 3:54 out of maximum 4 points from Chicago state university, USA .

Tinubu was in Chicago state university Dean’s list through out his stay at the university. He won outstanding student’s award and also bagged a certificate of merit in Accounting and finance in his first year in the university.

He emerged president Chicago state university Accounting society. While in the university, companies like ANDERSON, DEILIOTTE & TOUCHE and MOBILE etc came demanding for his service. At mobile company , Tinubu held positions as; Senior Auditor and company Treasurer before he retired and went into politics.

Since the return of Democracy in 1999, Bola Tinubu’s role in playing opposition politics against a sitting federal government in Nigeria has helped in strengthening electoral democracy, good governance, human rights and justice in the country.

Infact, his contribution with few other progressives unseated a sitting president for the first time in the political history of Nigeria in the year 2015.

To say the least, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (JAGABAN) has carved out a distinctive personage for himself in politics with an outstanding political stature.

He was a former Leader of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), to the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) which later metamophous into the present All Progressive Congress (APC).

Tinubu’s unique and uncommon transformational agenda in Lagos State earned him as one of the best successful Governors in Nigeria since 1999.

Also, due to his rugged fight for the enthronement of Democracy in Nigeria, he was politically persecuted, harrassed, arrested, detained and threatened which ended him in political exile.

Despite all these challenges he faced, Tinubu never consider revenge as an option, rather he forgive those who did injustice to him.

Tinubu is a detribalised Nationalist who strongly believe in the unity of Nigeria. He remain an advocate of true federalism that will give Governors and Council Chairmen fully funded mandate that will guarantee massive grassroot development in Nigeria.

Sincerely, Bola Tinubu has paid his dues , Served humanity, raised leaders irrespective of tribe and religion in the country.

To this end, i wish to appeal to Nigerians that this is the set time to support Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential ambition come 2023 having shown CAPACITY, QUALIFICATION and COMPETENCE over the years.

A support for Tinubu , is a support for Freedom,

A support for Tinubu , is a support for Development,

A support for Tinubu, is a support for Justice.

With Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (JAGABAN) Nigeria shall be great again.
