President Muhammadu Buhari has said that only the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, escaped the electoral massacre masterminded by former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

Buhari stated this at the public presentation of Chief Abdulkareem Adebisi Akande’s memoir, titled: “My Participations.” 

The event which held on Thursday at the Eko Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, attracted several APC bigwigs from the Southwest, who lauded the founding National Chairman of the ruling party, Baba Omokekeke as he is fondly called.

Among the high profile guests was President Buhari who praised Akande, describing him as a decent, truthful and friendly person, as well as an administrator of the first order, whose leadership qualities made him the unanimous choice as the first Chairman of the All Progressives Congress.
