A support group under the All People’s Congress (APC), the Incoming President Support Organization (IPSO), has declared it’s commitment to support and promote Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Nigeria’s next president, come 2023.

IPSO, a sub-group with all of it’s membership hailing from the ruling party APC, has also raised support for a power shift to Southern Nigeria, in the coming 2023 elections.

Although he hasn’t declared his intention to run, IPSO’s main objective is to support Tinubu from the presidential primaries under the APC party to the presidential elections, and ensure he wins.

National Coordinator of IPSO, Alh. Tajo Mohammad Nagoda, made the declaration at the inauguration of the Northwestern States Executive Members of IPSO in Kano.

Although the convener disclosed that IPSO’s agenda under the founder, Chief Murtala Tela Awolola, is to deliver the APC presidential candidate to Nigeria in 2023, he affirmed that Tinubu remains the only tested candidate in the south that could be entrusted with leadership responsibilities.

Pointing out the rationale behind their support for Tinubu, the IPSO National Chairman, Alhaji Tajo Muhammadu Nagoda, explained that the former Lagos State governor has built a network of national integration and cohesion that truly exemplified him as a unifying factor in Nigerian politics.

“Again, the track records of Tinubu and the developmental stride he made as Governor of Lagos and national bridge builder are enough reasons to mobilise maximum support for him. The foundation and template upon which Lagos is built today were initiated by Tinubu. He has built and mentored political leaders including governors, ministers, and many other leadership positions you can name.” Mohammad said, emphasizing Tinubu’s track record as the architect of the Modern Lagos Megacity, and mentor to a large number of political leaders in Nigeria.

The group declared their confidence in Tinubu and assured Nigerians that he will develop Nigeria if he gets the presidency seat.
