The Convener and National Secretary of National Coalition of Tinubu Support Groups (NCTSG), Dr. Doyin Johnson, and the Lagos State Coordinator of Tinubu Support Organization (TSO), Otunba Akinduro Ibesanmi, have declared Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a personality with the matching requisite skills and experience to lead Nigeria come 2023.

The duo made the announcement on ‘Talk Point’ program on Lagos Television at the weekend while discussing the topic: “Promoting Better Governance in Nigeria”.

In his statement, Ibesanmi said: “In any country, good governance is a function of who the leader is; the capacity, capability, pedigree and the managerial ability of who is at the helm of affairs of the country speaks a lot.”

“In Nigeria, we are so blessed with a lot of natural and human resources but the problem has been that we haven’t been too lucky to have good leaders to lead us except in few states like Lagos.

“Lagos State have been so lucky to have Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who ruled in 1999 and was able to give a template which successive Governor’s are using till date”, affirmed the TSO Coordinator.

When asked: ‘Why is the Country struggling to improve her GDP in terms of economic fortunes?’, Dr. Doyin Johnson replied: “Our GDP is so low because our rate of importation is far above that of exportation. We hardly export things as a country! Even our crude oil has to be exported for refining in another man’s country and bought back to Nigeria for the final user.”

“I believe the government can build modular refineries. We are capable of having up to 12 modular refineries in Nigeria: 2 per each geopolitical zones”, stated Doyin.

However, Ibesanmi expressed his belief in privatization of the petroleum sector: “We are told Nigeria pays about 250 Billion Naira for fuel subsidy. Why not privatize everything and allow forces of demand and supply to dictate the price?”, rhetorically asked Ibesanmi.

Discussing the role of the populace, the NCTSG Secretary commented: “I do tell people that you only give room for rigging when you don’t vote. We should ensure we get our voters card and elect a credible leader; it is our civic responsibility!”

Describing the type of leader Nigeria need now, Doyin stated: “We need a credible leader with requisite experience and quality leadership skills.

He explained further: “When you talk of better, outstanding and credible leaders, come to Lagos State for a case study.

“As a Governor then, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu invested some amount in ECONET shares. Then, he was met with criticisms by friends and foes. It was few years later that his financial ingenuity came to bare when the investment raked in several billions into Lagos purse”, cited Doyin Johnson.

In his remark, Otunba Ibesanmi recounted the landmark achievements of Asiwaju Tinubu as Lagos Governor, describing him as the rightful and most qualified candidate to lead Nigeria come 2023.

“I want to assure you that When Buhari leave and Tinubu comes in, we will have a better Nigeria of our dreams. He is a man who has the interest of the people at heart”, remarked Ibesanmi.

“We must not be sentimental in selecting who lead us. Let’s be sincere and objective. Let’s look at who the cap fits; one who will carry everybody along irrespective of their culture or affiliations, and that’s no other person but Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu”, submitted Dr. Doyin Johnson.
